One of the most fun aspects of every NFL Draft as a writer is scouting prospects and trying to identify those hidden gems….the diamonds in the rough, if you will…guys who might not be Day 1 or Day 2 picks, but sure as hell seem to have what it takes to make it in the NFL. Today, I’m kicking off my “Hidden Gems” series for 2024 with a look at the scrappy center from Florida, Kingsley Eguakun.
At the time of this writing, NFL Mock Draft Database lists Eguakun at 183rd overall. Prior to the Senior Bowl, I saw him at 237. That’s indicative of the mock drafters out there adjusting to the week he had in Mobile. I expect his stock will only rise from here, and he could end up being drafted much higher than he’s currently projected. He’s a feisty, rangy center that plays with good poise and technique.
