When I asked you guys who you wanted me to do scouting reports on this cycle, Western Kentucky wide receiver Malachi Corley was a popular answer. It seems like some of the Corley hype has died down a bit, and I’m not sure if it’s just prospect fatigue or what. Sometimes, we guys in our heads early on in the process, and if they don’t stay top of mind, we forget about them. Corley feels like he’s been lost in the shuffle a bit after guys like Ricky Pearsall and Roman Wilson went out and had killer weeks at the Senior Bowl. People started to figure out who Ladd McConkey is. Xavier Legette has been a popular topic of discussion. And, Xavier Worthy went out there and ran a 4.21 40 at the combine, generating a fair amount of buzz in the process. But, I would implore you all to not lose sight of the quality prospect that Corley is.

I could see this receiver class going a couple of different ways. One, there could be a run on guys early because there’s a wealth of quality receivers in this class, and teams are going to snatch up the elite prospects early. Two, teams are going to lean on the depth of this class and forego the position early altogether. Hell, there’s a third option and it’s a little bit of both…teams snatch up the elite guys in the top 10 and we don’t see a receiver drafted again in Round 1. I have the top four as Rome Odunze, Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr.. After those four guys, it’s anybody’s ball game. There are about a dozen different dudes who could make a case for the 5th in line.
