Why 2019 Doesn't Matter for 2023 Titans
A tale of two different seasons and two different teams.

Somehow even during a bye week, the Titans topics come flooding out of the woodwork. There is one narrative that has driven me insane even before the official start of the bye week and that is the comparison of the 2023 Squad to the 2019 Squad that went to the AFC Championship Game.
That is going to be the main topic for today’s article, but first, let’s talk about some other stuff annoying me.
Housekeeping
I haven’t had a true week-long vacation in a very, very long time. I am going to be out of the office from Nov. 5 to Nov. 14th. So, you won’t be getting any articles from me unless I decide to record something really drunk off my rocker. Stoney and Tre’s articles will come out on their normal times. Also, Stoney will be filling in for me with Mike for Football & Other F Words, November 8th.
Can We Let A.J. Brown Go?
I’ve seen people get over being stabbed quicker than this. Yes, I understand I am contributing to this discourse, but it is a desperate plea for everyone who still cares to let it go. It was a bad trade, and everyone involved acted like foolish children. Cutting off communication and ghosting each other like high schoolers. You guys must quit bringing it up.
Jon Robinson is gone. Please use the same joke everyone else does every time that A.J. Brown is shown breathing: “I want to hire JRob just to fire him again.” So very original. You should tour around with Nate Bargatze with that kind of killer material. Hosting SNL cause you’re a comedic genius. That is all sarcasm by the way. You’re unoriginal.
There’s nothing your constant complaining does other than highlight that you’re emotionally unstable and incapable of growth as a human. Thank you.
Mike Vrabel: Patriots Sleeper Cell
Speaking of being emotionally unstable, anyone who has a problem with anything Mike Vrabel did in his free time doesn’t have enough synapses firing to produce a rational thought.
Not sure if you know this about Vrabel, but he has pretty strong ties to the New England Patriots and the Boston area in general. Winning three Super Bowls will have that effect on a person. He has spent eight years with Patriots and on top of that, has strong ties to Boston College through his offspring.
Most importantly, it doesn’t have affect anything going on with the Titans. You may not know this because the Titans rarely do it, but really great players usually get inducted into their franchise’s version of a Ring of Honor. These inductions also take place during the football season. You want to know why? They have a built-in audience. Is it rare that a player is coaching and gets inducted? Sure. I am not going to look it up or anything, Vrabel may be the first, but it doesn’t matter. It’s the bye week! It’s where Vrabel made his NFL career. So, what if he used “We” at the end of his speech. He’s pandering to a crowd, and all former players and coaches use “we” when referencing teams that they are heavily tied to.
It's not like Vrabel has given the Patriots a free pass when the Titans have played them. It is such a non-factor and if you are someone who thinks it is a factor or bad look, you gotta grow up about this dumb stuff that doesn’t matter.
