Welcome to the Senior Bowl, 2025

Some quick thoughts and notes on the eve of the Senior Bowl's first practice.

You know what it is. We’re not two hours into town and we’ve already got a podcast done and I’m writing an article. Welcome to Senior Bowl week 2025. Folks, don’t ever say that man Zach Lyons ain’t a professional. I tell you what - he scooped me up in Mount Juliet at about 9:48AM after doing a radio spot for RKW. Then, about 150 miles out of Mobile, he hopped on for another radio spot with Cover 2, all from behind the wheel, all while fighting a cold. Props to Zach for that.

With only a couple stops to tinkle and to pick up some brisket from Buc-ee’s, we made great time, skirting right into the Mobile Convention Center just in time to pick up our media credentials for the week. There weren’t any practices today - that’ll start in earnest tomorrow morning. But, that’s not to say that today was unimportant. Today was measurement day, when all of the official measurements on players start coming out and we don’t have to rely upon universities lying about how big a player is any longer.

I wanted to hit you guys with a few of my thoughts from the trip down here and give you a sense of where my head is at heading into the rest of the week.
