What’s great about the preseason is being able to see all the shiny new rookie toys that your team brought in for the very time. Their performance not only tells you about where they’re at in their development but also what their chances of making the roster are, at least for those on the backend of the draft and the others that went undrafted.

So, while overall themes and takeaways are important, it is good to take a step back and highlight the rookie class.
