Let's relive the summer that all Titans fans spent on the edge of their seats, hoping Peyton Manning would become a Tennessee Titan.
Peyton Manning wrecked the Tennessee Titans for the better part of his career with the Indianapolis Colts. But, when a nasty neck injury forced him to miss the 2011 season, the Colts decided to move on from Manning, feeling he was approaching the twilight of his career. They elected to draft Andrew Luck to push the franchise forward.
Manning felt he still had a few seasons left in the tank, and he was right. Ultimately, he signed with the Denver Broncos, for whom he played from 2012 to 2015. In that time, he helmed one of the best offenses in NFL history in 2013, though that team was on the beaten end of a clobberin’ at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl. And, as an aging gunslinger, he captured his second Super Bowl ring, defeating the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl after the 2015. Let’s be real, though – he doesn’t get that title without that Broncos defense.
