SoBros Saturday: Welcome to the SoBros Book Club
If you're looking for a new book recommendation, the SoBros Book Club has you covered.
If you haven’t learned this about me just yet, there’s pretty much nothing in my life that I consume without writing about it at some point. It drives my wife nuts, but in a way, my work on SoBros Network and Stacking The Inbox is my way of chronicling my life and sharing my story with the world. I keep telling myself I need to slow down and savor the moment more, but it’s like a compulsion I can’t quite understand. I need to get it out of me.
But, this is a nice Saturday morning. We’re not here for a therapy session to dig into why I am the way that I am. I only use that point to illustrate that OF COURSE I’m going to write book reviews if I read books. Y’all should know me well enough to know that by now. So, as we continue to get SoBros Saturday off the ground here on Stacking The Inbox, I wanted to introduce you to one of my favorite series that I write on a completely irregular cadence and will continue to write on a completely irregular cadence here on this platform, the SoBros Book Club.
Like my tastes in music, movies, and food, my taste in books is really all over the place. Whether it’s fiction or nonfiction, it doesn’t matter to me. I just want good stories. The weirder, the better (maybe I’ll share some of my own fiction with you guys one day), but really, as long as the heart of the story is true, I’m in for hearing an author out. Or…I guess…reading an author out? You’ll find over time as this series continues that there’s really not a book I’ll turn down.
In the future, the ‘SoBros Book Club’ series will be a one-off review of a single book. But for now, I wanted to introduce you to what this club is all about. These are my six favorite books that I’ve written about so far.
And, of course, if you have a book rec you’d like to pass along to me, I’m all ears, baby. I’m building a library here and am open to damn near anything.
