Scouting Report: Nohl Williams Has a Complete Outside Game
Cal CB Nohl Williams plays a style that fits the Titans defense and could fill a surprising need for this team.
What can I say? Sometimes, you just get lost in the sauce and take four pages worth of notes on a random Day 3 prospect that doesn’t even fill an immediate need for the team you technically cover. Oh well. There’s not a video component for this scouting report because I had no intention of writing a full report on Cal cornerback Nohl Williams, so I wasn’t clipping film as I was watching it. But, I quite enjoyed his tape, and I found that I just kept writing things down. This is an interesting spot of the roster for the Titans anyway.
We haven’t really spent a whole lot of time breaking down this year’s cornerback class. And, really…why should we? Even after the Titans let Chidobe Awuzie go (after I bought my wife a Chido shirsey for Christmas, no less (her field hockey number was 13)), they’re pretty well set at corner between a healthy L’Jarius Sneed, an emerging Jarvis Brownlee, and the steady Roger McCreary in the slot. They re-signed Darrell Baker, Jr., who played well in a relief role last year. Things are peachy, right? Not so fast, my friend.
