From Zach: Hey everyone. I just want to give a big thank you to everyone who has been patient the last few days. It’s been a tough one dealing with family, bad internet, and small towns. Here’s an article from normal VIP author, Stoney Keeley.

Prognosticating is admittedly a stupid part of this gig, but I have a theory as to why it plays so well for the national media and why fans gobble up prediction content like crazy. Brace yourselves…it’s just plain fuckin’ fun. It’s the whole reason gambling exists. You have an opinion. You can back it up with money. Then, it makes the outcome of a particular game or season flat out exhilarating. I’m no better than the prognosticators. I spend the entire NFL offseason compiling information in my brain to form opinions, and when I’m confident enough in one, I publish it on the internet for the entire world (or just my 2K X followers) to see.

It’s the natural progression of things if you’re a (f)analyst. You watch enough Tyjae Spears tape and eventually you’ll have enough of an opinion to write a scouting report. This has happened over and over and over again for the last six months to the point where I have formed opinions on all of the teams in the AFC South.

I make no bones about my fandom - I love the Titans. Always will. So, I started to think about this division from the perspective of one of our readers or listeners. After consuming all of the takes I’ve spewed…what if they’re wrong? What if I’m just having a terrible predictions season? That’s where I started to play this game of picking apart the divisional opponents (and the Titans themselves) and asking myself how the division would look if I’m not actually right about everything. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I’m being transparent and having a moment of vulnerability with you guys. I might not always be right about everything I say. Now, here we are and guess what…I’ve thought about it enough to form opinions.
