Since I have been doing Football & Other F Words one of the best resources has been Warren Sharp’s Football Preview books. It’s been an invaluable resource to really gauge how the prior year went and what we can learn and apply to 2024. He previews in-depth all 32 teams and it is a book of over 550 pages that is well worth the money.
It has really helped me grow and understand the game on another level. In fact, I have written about this book many times over and also have always wondered why the Tennessee Titans just don’t use this book as an “Football Analytics for Dummies”. Maybe they will be going forward, I bet Brian Callahan and even his poppa buy this book and read it. They are both nerds like me after all.
While I will cover a lot of ground from the book, the Titans chapter has 14 pages of information. Charts, betting advice, hardcore data, etc. etc. It is a fully formed offseason breakdown with a 2023 review and 2024 preview. I won’t cover it all and encourage you all to buy it.
What I will cover today is the biggest mistake the 2023 regime made, that was consistent under Vrabel, and how that error in judgement should give you hope in 2024.
