I understand the optimistic Titans fans out there saying, “this Bills team isn’t the same Bills team as before!” That’s fair - it’s not. But, it’s not stopping the sports books from backing the Bills big time. They’re currently nine-point favorites at home against a reeling Titans team that is just searching for some proof of concept and chemistry. If it’s not the same Bills team, why the backing?

To me, it’s the way this defense is playing right now that has me spooked (it’s October - get it?). As a unit, the eye test from just watching this group move together as a whole, man, they’re playing good together-ball. They shift and move around as one, and they fly to the ball. The defensive front is formidable, and the safeties are playing with their hair on fire right now, crashing to the play and showing up during the critical moments of the game. When we think about the Bills, we typically go to Josh Allen and the offense, but this defense presents a major problem for a Titans offense that is struggling to find its footing. It’s hard to imagine this being the week that Will Levis and company get it going. If they do, it may take Brian Callahan getting into his bag to throw the kitchen sink at them.
