General Manager Background Check: Ian Cunningham
Here’s what I listened to while writing this article:
The Tennessee Titans are in the midst of their General Manager search. In fact, barring a surprise, they should be finishing up phase one of their interview process when they interview Malik Boyd today.
They have had cast a wide net around this search. Interviewing several minority candidates, and their own internal candidates. Outside of the Ryan Cowden and Quentin Harris (more on those two on Thursday), I would be thoroughly happy with any of them.
Here’s a quick refresher of where the Titans stand in their process:
Interviewed Thursday: Monti Ossenfort (Hired by Cardinals), Ryan Cowden. Both internal candidates.
Interviewed Friday: Ran Carthon, Director of Pro Personnel for the 49ers. Glenn Cook, Assistant General Manager/Vice President of Player Personnel for the Browns.
Interviewed Saturday: Ian Cunningham, Assistant General Manager for the Bears. Quentin Harris, Vice President of Player Personnel for the Cardinals.
Interviewing Today: Malik Boyd, Senior Director of Pro Personnel for the Bills.
Declined Interview: Adam Peters from the 49ers
Right now, we are going to talk about Ian Cunningham and later today you will get a bonus article on Ran Carthon.
