Listen, I’m not an idiot. I know that at this point in the week, you guys are probably DeAndre Hopkins’ed out. It’s been everywhere this week. Tre wrote a fantastic piece about it. Zach wrote an absolute sicko piece about it. The DeAndre Hopkins discourse is probably a little bit draining at this point.
So, I won’t draw this intro out, I promise. We’re going to really dig into three different games today, but I do want to mention the things I’ve always admired about Hopkins - his strong hands, his sudden breaks, his concentration at the point of the catch, and his catch radius.
Those are the things I’m looking for to see if they’re still there. At one point, I considered Hopkins the best receiver in the game. I don’t think that guy is around anymore, but he can still be a pretty damn valuable addition to this Titans offense.
