Draft: The Arvell Reese Conversation
We have a mixed bag of game notes headlined by a conversation about Arvell Reese on this edition of the 2026 Draft Notebook.
Happy New Year, everyone! Another year in the books! Another year closer to our inevitable deaths! Sorry - that was morbid. It doesn’t come across nearly as funny in text as it does in my head. I’ll work on that, I promise. It can be my New Year’s Resolution. Anyway, I’ve got some random notes to string together, so you know what that means. It’s time for another Draft Notebook.
The Arvell Reese Conversation
The hybrid linebacker/edge rusher out of Ohio State has been soaring up draft boards in recent months. It’s been an interesting path to this spot. Before the season started, I didn’t hear much about him. When I did, his name was mentioned among the top linebackers in the class. He went and put some solid tape out in the season opener against the Texas Longhorns, and the draft community started buzzing. Now, I don’t know if it’s just a reflection of the talent at the top of this class or what, but he’s been getting some “number one overall” love. I haven’t gotten there quite yet, but I think I can at least see the vision.
