Coaches the Titans Need to Interview

Here’s what I was listening to on Spotify while I wrote this:

We are getting closer and closer to the weekend, and the Tennessee Titans still have two very important roles on their offensive staff to fill. With the Senior Bowl fast approaching, one would think that they would like to make the hire before they’re well into next week.

The Titans have supposedly had “numerous” conversations with candidates, but we don’t really know what the hell that means. Does that mean two? Six? Are they all interviews or just some feelers. I am growing a little frustrated with the lack of information flowing out of St. Thomas Sports Park, but it should be expected.

Vrabel is notoriously tight-lipped and Carthon is getting accustomed to his new position, but the offseason waits for no team, and there are 10 open spots for offensive coordinator, not including teams still searching for a head coach.

With all of those spots, the Titans do need to be fast and thorough. I remember when the Titans shuffled their feet with hiring a head coach after Jeff Fisher. That led to Mike Munchak being hired really late into the offseason and assembling one of the worst staffs I have seen. So, its good to be thorough, but you also need to be fast.

There are at least a few candidates that I think the Titans need to have talked or are willing to talk to right now. Anyone and everyone on the Rams staff have been allowed to seek other opportunities.

With that green light it would be silly for the Titans not to reach out to at least two assistants on that staff. While the assumption can be made they are waiting for the Chiefs assistants to be allowed to interview after this weekend, I think they could also be waiting on an Eagles assistant or two as well.

So, today I am going to bring some of those names to the forefront. All coaches I would be fairly happy with if they were hired. These are some top choices across the NFL, and I think they need to be on the Titans radar.
