This ain’t your dad’s Tennessee Titans anymore. Well, at least that’s what we believe with the new regime being headed up by an offensive minded head coach. We’ve all bought in to this being a new era where passing is more prominent, and we see the Titans being less reliant and predictable with the run game I do think though we may be over correcting that thinking and leaning too heavily into the “pass happy” offense and leaving the running game locked up in a closet under the stairwell like Harry Potter.

Later today on Football & Other F Words we will be kicking off our in-depth deep dive into every individual position group. Each episode over the next eight weeks will not only cover the latest titans news and rumors, but also get all up in a new position group every week. On top of that, next week, here at StackingTheInbox.com, Stoney and I are going to do a deep dive in to the advanced analytics and film study of the Titans run game that is being spearheaded by Bill Callahan. Big week for the running back.

Today, I wanted to continue on my “By the Numbers” series to talk about the duo of Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard. After years of ground and pound using Derrick Henry as a predictable, and effective, battering ram, the Titans have moved on from The King and now the Titans have a drastically looking room than it has had in a long time. As such, there’s been a lot of speculation as to how the workload will be divvied up among the two main guys. Today, that’s what we are going to try and figure out.
