Head Coach Brian Callahan announced on Wednesday that Nicholas Petit-Frere would once again get the start at right tackle against the Houston Texans. The move received quite the reaction from fans and media members alike, as Petit-Frere offered little relief to the Titans massive problem at the position against the Minnesota Vikings.
Petit-Frere, who had not seen game action since Week Seven, played just 40 percent of the right tackle snaps in Sunday’s loss. Even when playing a minority of the snaps with rotation-mate Isaiah Prince, Petit-Frere still allowed three total pressures, including two sacks and another hit on quarterback Will Levis. To add on to the rotational woes, the former third-round pick also wracked up another false start penalty, making it his fourth in just 195 total snaps on the season.
