“I gotta write one more article this week,” I said despairingly to Mike and Zach after Football & Other F Words went off the air last week, sleep in my eyes, and mentally exhausted. I was tired and the work week had gotten away from me, meaning I didn’t have the same amount of free time to write as I usually do. But, I still had my Bears preview to write, and I wanted to get this Week 1 draft roundup written before the second week was played. “I mean, you really don’t…you can get some sleep,” Zach said to me. Hearing it out loud made me realize that yes, it was silly for me to force myself to stay up to get a draft article written eight months ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. So, I opted to support my physical health for once. I wrote my ‘guys to watch’ piece and called it a night. I say all of that to say, “this is why you’re getting a Week 1 draft reaction after Week 2.”
