2024 Senior Bowl Preview: Running Backs

If recent history tells us anything, the Senior Bowl is a great place to scout a running back to pair with Tyjae Spears moving forward.

I don’t know what’s going to happen with Derrick Henry…not for sure, anyway. From the way he spoke after the season finale against Jacksonville, my gut says he’s gone. While it’s hard to see a legend of the franchise go, it’s even harder to face the reality that it might just be for the best to let it happen.

That’s going to leave a massive hole at the running back position though. I’m certainly excited to see more of Tyjae Spears, who I was high on from the moment I watched his Cotton Bowl tape vs. USC, in 2024. But, he’s going to have to split the carries with someone. If this Titans team is going to continue to push towards a more modern football approach, I’d imagine that means we’re going to see a committee. That’s just how things work in today’s NFL. That’s fine by me - it’s all the rage these days. All the cool teams are doing it.
