These defensive linemen from Texas are something else. I don’t even remember which film study I was doing that got me to the Texas defense’s tape. It might’ve been one of those nights when I’m just propping my feet up with an ice cold beer scrolling through my film library and just seeing what shouts at me. T’Vondre Sweat really popped to me at the Senior Bowl, and smart folks are saying Byron Murphy is going to go a lot earlier than expected. I’m going to have to get around to ‘em at some point, right? So, why not now?
I’ve also recently taken the opportunity to catch up on some more Drake Maye and Dominick Puni. I’ve dipped my toes into Payton Wilson, Tyrice Knight, and more!
Obligatory note: In case I haven’t said it already, I like to space my evals out over time. So, what you’ll read today might not necessarily be my final stance on a particular prospect. These are simply my notes from watching one game of each prospect. All of these evals are going to grow throughout the course of the season as I watch more and more film. MORE! MORE! MORE!
