Better late than never, I always say. I actually don’t say that. (Note from Zach: I do because this has been sitting in the “Draft” section since Feb. 22nd) There are plenty of times when I think the moment has passed and I just shouldn’t even bother writing about something anymore. But, this was no such case. The Shrine Bowl provides valuable insight into the draft process, and hell, I can’t just ignore that because it took me three weeks to get around to watching the game. What I’m looking for here, late as I may be, are breadcrumbs. Just because a guy might’ve made a few plays in the Shrine Bowl, that doesn’t mean he’s a solid prospect. But, if you’re regularly showing flashes in this game, that’s something for me to latch onto. I’m going to notice that and it’s going to carry me to the tape. These are the guys that really popped to me.
